Terry Won Hi Kim, 97, of Severna Park, passed away peacefully of natural causes on October 10, 2024. She was born on April 23, 1927, in the south of Korea to Kyung-Sin Cho and Il-Sung Kang. Terry grew up in Korea and went to school in Shanghai China.

In 1947 she married Ret. Colonel Youn P. Kim and they lived the military life of travel in Korea, Japan and California.  They eventually moved to Severna Park in 1959. Terry built a meaningful career with the federal government, where she dedicated over 40 years of service teaching the Korean language. They briefly lived in Sheridan WY and she returned to Maryland in 2001.

She was a proud and active member of the Arnold Senior Center. Terry found joy in sewing and crafting, hobbies that filled her home and the hearts of those around her with warmth and creativity. She was an animal lover of all creatures, great and small.

Above all, Terry cherished her family. Her happiest moments were spent surrounded by her loved ones, creating memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew her best.

Terry is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Youn P. Kim and her son, Phil Kim. She is survived by her daughter, Adeleen Johnson, of Severna Park; grandchildren Jennifer Wittkamp (Philip) of Severna Park, Cynthia Johnson of Severna Park, and Daniel Von Sas of Pasadena.
