Terrie Eileen O'Brien, 79 of Severna Park, Maryland passed away at home peacefully surrounded by her family on August 10, 2024.

She was born in Manhattan, NY and grew up in Edison, NJ.  Shortly after her high school graduation she moved to the Baltimore area where she started her family.  Terrie was a resident of Severna Park for most of her adult life.  She was a respected pillar in the community where she was the first Women member of the Severna Park Rotary Club as well as Severna Park Chamber of Commerce.  Activities she enjoyed included boating, gardening, the beach, and writing letters as well as watching soccer, the Orioles and the Ravens.   She was extremely devoted to her family and relished her time watching her children and grandchildren as they engaged in their sporting activities.  Terrie was proud of each of their scholastic and professional accomplishments.

Her dedication to her family also included caring for her beloved brother, John O'Brien who had Down's Syndrome.  Terrie was an advocate not only for her brother but for many people in the community with special needs.  She also thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her lifelong friends.

Terrie was pre-deceased by her parents, Alice and James O'Brien, her sister, Patricia Grier and her brothers James and John O'Brien.

She is survived by her children, Jammie Price of Wilmington, NC, James Price of Wilmington, NC, and Suzanne Bates-Crandall and her husband Chris of Severna Park, MD.  Terrie was the beloved Grandmother of Trevor Bates and his wife Ashley, Tori Bates, Bailey Whitehead-Price, Lyndsey Whitehead-Price, Taelyn Crandall, and her great-granddaughter, Lillian.  Additionally, her granddaughters Taylor Bates and Talor Scarborough, her husband Clay and their 2 children.  Terrie was the much loved aunt of both the Grier and O'Brien families which includes 6 nieces, 2 nephews and all their spouses, 5 great nieces, 5 great nephews, 2 great-great nieces and 3 great-great nephews as well as her cousins Richard Graepel and Carolynn Knapp.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024, at the American Legion Post 175, 832 Manhattan Beach Road, Severna Park, MD 21146, from 2-5pm with a Memorial beginning at 4pm.
