After a courageous 6-month battle with his fourth bout of cancer, Terrence C. Lind, 71 of Annapolis, MD went to be with his Savior on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Chesapeake Hospice Center.

Terry's first cancer, advanced Hodgkin's disease, was diagnosed in January of 1967. At that time, he took part in an experimental therapy study at NIH Cancer Institute.  Hodgkin's was considered a fatal disease.  Due to Terry's willingness to participate in the therapy, he fortunately went into remission after 1 year of chemotherapy.  This therapy is now used with a 97% cure rate for Hodgkin's.

Terry served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Independence as an AMS3 during the Viet Nam conflict (1963-66).  He was honorably discharged and retired with 100% disability in November, 1971.

Terry made many friends and associates over the years and was well-liked and respected by everyone.  One could always depend on Terry to do what he said he was going to do.  He was always very generous to anyone in need.

Terry was predeceased by his father and mother, Wm. H. and Virginia D. Lind.  He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patricia; his daughters, Kim Jackson (Mike) and Karen Jones (Mike); five grandchildren, Elliott, Marissa Saxon (Aaron), Madelin, Savanna and Jonathan.  Also, surviving are his brothers, Bill (Kim) and Michael (Linda); his sisters, Jennifer and Lora.  His brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gil and Rachel Horstkamp.

Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 from 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM at the Barranco & Sons P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146.  A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 11AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to either Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Hwy, Pasadena, MD 21122 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
