Ted Jacobs

Ted Gilbert Jacobs, 79, of Linthicum Heights died of heart failure Sept. 28 at Union Hospital in Elkton after a brief illness.

Mr. Jacobs was born March 15, 1926, and reared in Baltimore and served in the Army during World War II. He was the retired owner and operator of a restaurant in College Park.

Mr. Jacobs was a member of American Legion Post No. 0159 in Chincoteague, Va. An avid Oriole fan and considered a great conversationalist, he also enjoyed fishing, boating, playing card games and sports.

His wife, Dorothy M. Jacobs, died in 1996.

Surviving are three daughters, Terry Lee Jacobs of Linthicum Heights and Sharon Lynn Brown and Tammy Ann Janorske, both of Severna Park; one grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is from noon to 4 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, where services will follow. Burial will be in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Marriottsville.
