Sylvia Belle Fisher, 91, of Edgewater, MD died of natural causes at Futurecare Chesapeake on September 25, 2008.

Mrs. Fisher was born on December 16, 1916 in Himrod, NY, where she was also raised. In addition, Mrs. Fisher lived in Penn Yan, NY before moving to Edgewater, MD fifteen years ago.

Mrs. Fisher graduated from Penn Yan Academy in Penn Yan. She was a homemaker, produce farmer, and an owner of an antique shop. Mrs. Fisher was a member of the Londontown Peppers. She enjoyed knitting, antiques, cooking, playing cards, crossword puzzles, and making candy.

She is survived by her son, Larry Fisher of Arnold, MD; her daughter-in-law, Lois Myers-Fisher, also of Arnold, MD; and four grandchildren.

Friends may visit at the Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-4 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home following the visitation. The interment will be private.
