Suzanne Derzay Trice died unexpectedly at home on June 26, 2015 in Pasadena, Maryland at the age of 76.

Suzanne is survived by her loving husband Donald C. Trice; their children and their spouses Cassie and Robert Smith of Glen Burnie, Richard and Tammie Trice of Fayetteville, North Carolina, James and Jane Trice of Corning, New York, and Carrie and Lance Joneckis of Severna Park; their grandchildren Christine Swauger of Riviera Beach, Donald J. Swauger of Glen Burnie, Bridgette Trice and Christopher Trice of Severna Park, Katherine Trice and Ryan Trice of Corning New York, and Carrie White of Leland, North Carolina; her sister and brother-in-law Marie and Allen Ostenso of California, and her niece Laura Ostenso of Washington D.C. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Claudette, all of Palo Alto, California.

Suzanne was born on October 26, 1938 in San Francisco, California to Frank Derzay and Agnes Peters and after World War II moved with them to Palo Alto California. She graduated in 1956 from Notre Dame High School in Belmont, California. She married Donald C. Trice, of Redwood City, California, August 30, 1958 and moved to Ithaca, New York for 3 years while her husband Donald attended Cornell University. She then resided in Redwood City, California until moving to Pasadena, Maryland in 1978.

Suzanne was an active mother and consummate homemaker. As a young mother she spent many hours volunteering at her children's school, as a den mother, and encouraging her children to express themselves through sports, music, art, and social activities. Suzanne worked in the St. Matthias Parish CCD programs and developed a Baptismal to pre-school CCD Program. Suzanne enjoyed aqua aerobics, gardening, quilting, and boating. In her later years she was an avid reader, enjoying the Mountain Road Library and local bookstores. She enjoyed traveling with her husband visiting glass and pottery works and collecting art glass. Suzanne will be remembered for her deep love of her children and grandchildren, her many years of devoted self-giving to her family, and for her quiet and caring friendship.

Friends may visit on Wednesday July 8, 2015 from 6-8:00pm at the Barranco & Sons,P.A Severna Park Funeral Home 495 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Thursday July 9, 2015 at 10:00am in the St. John Catholic Church 689 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146. Interment in the Lakemont Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
