Susan Dean Warner Howell, 59, a longtime resident of Severna Park, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Susan was born on July 24, 1965 to John G. Warner, Sr. and Norma Warner Talentino. Susan was preceded in death by her step-father, James P. Talentino and her step-mother, Kathy C. Warner. She grew up in Linthicum, graduating from Andover High School and continuing on to UMBC.

Shortly thereafter, she embarked on a successful career in business management and leadership.  For more than 3 ensuing decades,  Susan played a key role in developing and later leading several growing entrepreneurial enterprises, culminating in her service as President of the Tech USA Companies where she worked up until her passing.

On May 7, 2022, Susan married Thomas B. Howell, Sr. of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Severna Park.

She lived a joyful life in which she spent much of her time with her family and friends. Susan loved entertaining and cooking for small and large crowds. Her love of flowers showed through in the many gardens around her home. Susan enjoyed travel including several trips to the Caribbean, Europe, Florida, and boating with her husband.

Over the years, Susan and the Tech USA Companies gave back to the community to such causes as Hospice of the Chesapeake, University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center, Johns Hopkins Hospital, The Colon Cancer Coalition, BWI Business Partnership, and The National Cryptologic Foundation.

Susan had a wonderful sense of humor and wit; she made us laugh when we least expected it. She loved her family dearly. Along with her husband Tom, her father John G. Warner, Sr., and her mother Norma Warner Talentino, she is survived by her three siblings, John G. Warner, Jr. (Shari), Mark D. Warner (Stacey), and Laurie Warner Merrell, and Karen O. Sherman (partner of John G. Warner, Sr.). She was a devoted aunt to her nieces and nephews: Lindsey (Gavin) Edmiston, Karley Warner, Dean Warner, Demi (Nick) Adams, Seth Merrell, Ashley Merrell, and Ella Merrell, and a great aunt to Briggs Dean and Stassi Jo Edmiston.

Susan will be sorely missed by her husband, family, friends and Tech USA Companies.
