Growing up the daughter of an Army General, Susie's family lived in Kansas, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Washington, D.C., Japan, Germany and France.

Susie was an avid golfer and sailor and was a critical part of the successful racing campaigns aboard "Cayenne", an ocean racing sailboat she owned with her former husband. She enjoyed playing bridge; loved to travel; enjoyed knitting, crocheting and needlepoint and playing the ukulele. She was also an animal lover, joke teller, and her Point Field Landing home was "Home of the Week" in the Baltimore Sun. She was a former member of Chartwell Country Club's Ladies Golf Group for many years. Susie was a life master and former member of the Severna Park Bridge Club. Susie will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, her intelligence and her love of life.

Susie was preceded in death by her parents, Lt. General Gordon B. Rogers, U.S. Army who was Commander of the 3 rd Armored Division from 1953 until 1958, and Mary Louise Watson Rogers.

She is survived by daughters, Dory Tate of Severna Park and Holly Tate Schluederberg (Scott) of Elkridge; her son, Roger Tate (Lisa) of Annapolis; and her beloved grandchildren, Katie and Kelly Schluederberg, and Tyler Tate.
