Steven Edward Zaetz, 69, a resident of Severna Park, MD, died peaceably on April 10, 2021 in his home. He was born on January 15, 1952 in Baltimore, MD where he was raised by his parents Helen and William Zaetz. He played Lacrosse as a teenager and worked as a boilermaker his entire life. He was a loyal member of the Local 193 union. Steve loved to cook, eat crabs and appreciated good wines. One of his favorite sayings was, Life is too short to drink cheap beer. His backyard was a testament to his love of having an outdoor space for entertaining and growing fresh herbs and vegetables for cooking. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Steve, you will be missed.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sandy, his two children, Erin and Michael, his grandchildren, Logan, Kyrie and Quinten, his niece, Alison, her children, Tommy, Kayleigh and Nick, his nephew, Mark, his wife Missy and their daughter Ruby, Uncles Henry and Buddy and his Aunt, Connie, his cousin, Kathleen and her children Anthony and Alex.
A memorial is being planned for June 19, 2021 at the home of Steve and Sandy Zaetz.
