Steven "Steve" Michael Matthews passed away on July 6, 2025. Steve was born October 8, 1949, to Jeanne Marie (nee Dezur) and Wilbur Lee Matthews.

Steve was a great brother to his sister, Barbara, and his brothers, Bill and Jim.  He was born in Woodbury, New Jersey and spent many vacations in Ocean City, New Jersey. Steve loved fishing, crabbing and just sitting and watching the ocean. Following in his father's footsteps, he served his country as a Coast Guardsmen on board the USCG cutter Duane and at life-saving stations. Steve had multiple careers in sales and transportation. He was one of the original members of the Severna Park Poker Club, rarely missing a night of card-playing, humor, and camaraderie.

Steve was the type of person who was always available to help with a project. He was charming, self-effacing, and always generous with his time. He is survived by his wife, Ann; his wonderful children Stephanie, Shannon, Shawna; his sister, Barbara; his brothers Bill and Jim; beautiful grandchildren, and countless relatives in the extended Matthews-Bollino clan. He will be greatly missed.
