Stephen Gerard Madden May 12, 1966 - February 22, 2024

We are sad to announce the passing of Stephen G. Madden, 57, of Reisterstown, MD. Born May 12, 1966 to Robert and Eleanor Madden, Steve grew up in Severna Park, MD. As a child, he loved all sports and played soccer, football, baseball and basketball for the local Green Hornets teams. He graduated from Severna Park Senior High School in 1984 and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Baltimore in 1988.

After college, Steve began working with his father renovating homes and rental properties. He carried those skills forward and began purchasing, renovating, and renting out homes in the Baltimore area. While doing that, Steve also established and ran a successful home improvement business, Bayside Home Improvements. His skill and craftsmanship earned him repeat business from a wide range of customers in the Baltimore area.

Steve was a big-hearted and fun-loving person who enjoyed all things Baltimore. Ravens football, the Orioles, steamed crabs, boating and spending time poolside were some of his favorite past-times. He was generous with his time and was always willing to help when called upon. Above all, Steve was a really good guy and will be dearly missed by many.

Along with his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his sister, Eleanor Reiter and his brother James Madden. He is survived by his siblings, Annamarie Hugel (Bill) of Ellicott City, MD, Robert Madden Jr. (Brenda) of Norfolk, VA; Patrick Madden (Megan) of Arnold, MD; Carol Ayd (John) of Lutherville, MD; and Teresa Trainor (George) of Ellicott City, MD, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Steve is also survived by his former wife, Leslie Madden of Reisterstown, MD.

The funeral will be a private ceremony with only close family members present.
