Stephen S. Handley, age 60, a twenty-seven year resident of Severna Park, died on November 6th at his home after a fifteen month battle with melanoma cancer.

He was born on July 11, 1955 in Glen Burnie, MD and was employed by Northrop Grumman Corporation for 37 years as an Electronic Technician. Stephen had a passion for home improvement projects, enjoyed kayaking, and the company of his family and friends.

Stephen was preceded in death by his father, Earl H. Handley and mother, Mary A. Handley. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Cheryl G. Handley (nee Vaughan), son Tyler S. Handley of Glen Burnie, MD, stepson Todd D. Dillow of Pasadena, MD, and his beloved granddaughter, Madalyn R. Dillow. He is also survived by a brother, Earl A. Handley.

Stephen was an amazing husband, father, and friend to everyone who knew him and he will be greatly missed.

Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 11:00am at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
