Stephen McCulloh deBronkart, 55, passed away suddenly at his home in Severna Park on May 8, 2013. He was born in 1958 in Binghamton, NY, to Richard Davies and Anne (McCulloh) deBronkart. He graduated in 1976 from Severna Park High School, where he was a proud member of the Falcon Marching Band as baritone horn section leader, and in 1978 from Lincoln Technical Institute.

He enjoyed being both a participant and a spectator at the stock car races at Summit Point, W. Va. As a driver, he was part of "Team Twisted" and was known as "50", from his car's number. He worked as a member of the pit crews for other drivers, and worked with staff members in any capacity requested of him. For more than 30 years he was employed at The Autohaus in Millersville as a master mechanic, and was especially skilled in the workings of his favorite automobile, the Mercedes Benz.

Steve will be remembered for his huge and generous heart, great love of cars, music and laughter.

He is survived by his beloved companion of 28 years, Sharon Hauk, his mother Anne deBronkart, of Heritage Harbour; two sisters, Amy Kinder (Michael) of Annapolis, and Suzanne "Suede", of Wellfleet, MA; three brothers, Dave (Virginia), of Nashua, NH, Ken, of Lebanon, OH, and Gerry (Denise) of Edgewater; and seven nieces and nephews.

There will be a memorial gathering on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 from 4 to 5 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home in Severna Park, followed by a brief service at 5 pm.
