Shirley Ann Meyer McManus, age 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on December 21, 2022. She was born in Baltimore on June 16,1934 to Julia and Leonard Meyer. She grew up in Severna Park and moved to Panama with her parents after high school, where she graduated from Canal Zone Junior College. She studied Theatre, was class Secretary and Treasurer, and voted Most Talented. She was also a Cast Director for the theatre program. She moved from Springfield, VA to Arnold in 1976, where she has since enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and family, going on walks, swimming, and watching her favorite 'programs'. She loved to sing and was a parishioner at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church.

Shirley is survived by her children, Leigh McManus of Arnold; James (Sheila) McManus of Weddington, NC; and Maureen McManus of Arnold. Sister, Mary Louise Kanakanui of Keene, NH; five grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by husband James O. McManus; brother Leonard J. Meyer, Jr.; and parents Julia and Leonard Meyer. She has touched the lives of many with her outgoing personality and loving spirit. She will be deeply missed.

A Mass will be Celebrated on Tuesday January 10, 2023 at 11:00am at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church 689 Ritchie Hwy Severna Park, MD 21146. Interment at the MD Veterans Cemetery.
