Shirley Marie Holmes, 75, of Severna Park, died June 28 at North Arundel Hospital after a sudden illness.
Born in Seattle on July 20, 1928, Mrs. Holmes had lived in Severna Park since 1967. A homemaker, she worked for 10 years with Champion Realty of Severna Park.
She enjoyed bowling and loved traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Charles D. Holmes; one daughter, Robynn June Spilker of Glen Burnie; one son, Denny Holmes of Severna Park; her mother, Georgia Hertlein of Seattle; one sister, Marlene Haechler of Kent, Wash.; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, where the funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday. Burial will be private.
