Shirley Milhausen Boyer, 75, a life-long resident of Severna Park, MD died at her home on April 5, 2012.

She was born on December 6, 1936 in Baltimore and raised on a farm on Kinder Road and resided in Severna Park since 1964. She attended Pasadena Elementary, George Fox Jr. High School, and Glen Burnie High School (Class of 1954).

Shirley was a member of Chartwell Country Club. She enjoyed water skiing on the Severn River, swimming, snow skiing, playing bridge with her bridge club, and traveling.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Harold (Bud) G. Boyer of Severna Park, whom she married on December 27, 1953, and by her twin daughters, Cynthia Boyer May and her husband Patrick L. May of Pasadena and Connie Boyer Baldwin and her husband Charles B. Baldwin of Pasadena. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Chad B. Baldwin, Laurie M. Baldwin, Patrick A. May, and Jaclyn E. May. She is also survived by two sisters, Betty Milhausen Phillips and Ruth Milhausen Chaney, both now of Durham, NC.

Mrs. Boyer served as a Director of the Bank of Glen Burnie since March of 1995 and just resigned from that position which she loved so much on March 19, 2012. She was known throughout Anne Arundel County as a real estate investor and owned many properties in the county.

The viewing will be held at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146 on Monday, April 9, 2012 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 10:30 am at Christ Lutheran Church, 8249 Jumpers Hole Road, Millersville, with Pastor Dave Simpson officiating. Interment will be in Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie, MD.
