Sheehan Francis Murphy was born in Annapolis, MD on December 8, 1965 to Mary Jane (Katzenberger) Murphy and James Patrick Murphy. He grew up in Arnold, MD with his brothers Michael and Patrick.
Sheehan was an avid hunter, angler and sports enthusiast. His fondest memories of growing up included hunting and fishing trips with his dad and brothers, playing sports and time with his mother who he dearly loved.
He graduated from Severna Park High School in 1983. At age 22 Sheehan reunited with his high school sweetheart Kimberly Ann Whitelock and on October 24, 1993 they were married. They continued to live in Arnold, MD, where Kimberly still resides.
Sheehan was a Master Carpenter working as a house builder for many years until opening his own business "Decks To Your Specs" in the mid 1990's. His commitment to quality workmanship was what he was known for. Being a local in the area for so many years, Sheehan amassed a large network of friends and business colleagues. Sheehan will always be remembered by his reputation of passion for his work and love for his family.
He passed away on Sunday September 28, 2014 and is survived by his wife of 21 years Kimberly Ann Whitelock-Murphy, his father James Patrick Murphy, stepmother Diane Murphy, mother in law Peggy Whitelock, sister in law Paula Murphy and Peggy Ford-Evans, brother in law William Evans and Philip Whitelock, nephews Zachary Ford, JP, Sheehan and Michael Murphy, nieces Katie Murphy-Codd and Elizabeth Ford.
His funeral service will be held at 10 am on Saturday October 4, 2014 at Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church located at 1070 Cecil Avenue South, Millersville, MD 21108. There will be a reception immediately after the service at his and Kimberly's house. Sheehan will be greatly missed by his large number of friends and family.
