Shaun Mekhi Keller, affectionately known as Shaunie Boy, 26, loving son and only child of Lauren J. Hodges and Monte D. Keller, finished his earthly journey in the early morning hours of August 18, 2026. Shaun was special from the moment he made his entrance into this world and although his life was far too short, the impact he made was anything but. He was truly someone exceptional – determined, resilient, and deeply committed to his family and friends; he knew no stranger. His time with us may have been limited but the love he gave, the memories he made, and the legacy he left behind will endure far beyond his years. His life reminds us that it is not always the length of our time here that matters but the depth of the impression we leave behind.

Shaun faced many challenges throughout his life, including learning to navigate life with epilepsy. Epilepsy did not define him, he faced every adversity head-on, without fear, with strength, determination and perseverance.

With a passion for things that brought him joy, Shaun enjoyed gaming with his buddies, cheering for the Baltimore Ravens, playing basketball and expressing himself creatively through art, he had a way of bringing his own energy and personality to everything he loved. A favorite beloved pastime was a trip to the Aircraft Observation Area at BWI Airport better known as “the airplane park”, where’d he’d watch in awe as the planes descended in their final approach to the runway. Without intention, Shaun left pieces of himself behind that will continue to live on through all who know and love him.

He is survived by his parents, Lauren J. Hodges and Monte D. Keller; paternal grandparents Michelle Keller, Michael Langford (Victoria Langford) and Samuel Hill; his Uncle Thomas Hodges (Natalie Hodges), cousins Ben and Jake Hodges; his Aunts Christine Dixon (Khalid Dixon) and cousins Phillip Hughes, Dazha Austin, Kayla, Kennedy, Kai and Kori Dixon; Devan Allseitz (Brandin Allseitz) and cousins Michael Thomas, Lincoln, Bishop and Maddox Allseitz; Nannette Langford (Brittany Noel) and cousins James and Parker Lewis; and Shannon Hill, his Godparents Lysa Ament and Melissa Bibaud and a whole host of friends and loved ones.

Shaun was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandmothers Jane Cecilia Norris and Paula Coles-Hill and his maternal grandfather Thomas Gerald Hodges.

Though we wish we could have had more time, we are grateful for every moment, every memory, and every piece of himself he shared with us. Until we meet again, may he rest peacefully knowing that his life mattered, his presence made a difference and the footprint he left behind is one that cannot be filled.

A memorial gathering will be held on on Sunday, August 30, 2026 from 10:00am-11:00am, at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A. 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146. The memorial service will be immediately after the memorial gathering, from 11:00am-12:00pm, at the funeral home.
