Sharon Nelson, age 72, died on Tuesday April 7th at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis.
Born in the Bronx, New York and for the past 15 years, she lived in Arnold, Maryland.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband, Don and her daughters, Doreen and Jacki. She was a loving grandmother to 6 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Sharon spent her working years as a Medical Associate and was an enthusiastic volunteer in several organizations including the Tawes Garden in Annapolis. Her keen eye for fashion and style made her an invaluable buyer for jewelry and accessories for the gift shop. Sharon's intelligence, humor and love has always touched the lives of everyone fortunate to have known her.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, in Severna Park, Maryland. The funeral service and burial will take place in New York at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1041 MD-3, Gambrills, MD 21054.
