Sharon Phyllis Mack passed away on January 24, 2025 and is now in Heaven dancing with her beloved "Joey".
She was born in Kingston Ontario Canada on June 25, 1937. Her maiden name was Sharon Phyllis Halladay. She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School class of 1955 and attended Queens University in Kingston Ontario. Sharon was fluent in Latin and French and was a gourmet cook, an avid historian, and a talented dancer. She was a member of the Sweet Adelines singing group and performed in Canada and the United States. She met her husband, Joey, on the Ted Mack Amateur Show and they were married on July 11, 1964.
As a patriotic Canadian, Sharon served in the Canadian Royal Navy Reserves. She was employed by Du Pont of Canada where she worked as an infrared spectrometer technician. Always political, Sharon was a founding member of Canadians for Kennedy and a driving force behind Canada adopting the maple leaf as its flag.
Sharon became a U.S. citizen on February 4, 1983 while living in Arnold, MD. She worked as a technician at Gould Ocean Systems Division in Glen Burnie, MD and later as a manager of shipping and receiving at Gould Fiber Optics.
No finer lady ever lived: she is survived by her daughter Shari De Avila and her husband Carlos De Avila; two grandchildren, Cristina Coble and her husband Bryan Coble and Vanessa De Avila; and two sons, Michael Mack and William Mack. All services will be private.
