Sharon Louise Finn, 61, of Arnold died in her home Oct. 2 after a year-long battle with lung cancer.

Daughter of Walter and Mildred Wolf, Sharon was born Dec. 30, 1947 in Laurel, MD. As a toddler, Sharon was stricken with Polio, which would require years of physical therapy and surgeries. Persevering through her illness, she grew into a confident, beautiful and caring woman.

Sharon's calling was that of a mother, wife, daughter and friend. Her family was always her constant and her joy. She was a remarkable homemaker who specialized in creating wonderful and unique costumes for her children. Her home constantly offered warmth, friendship, laughter, and a favorite location for all to visit.

Sharon attended Wesleyan College in Buckhannon, WV where she received her B.A. in Sociology and Psychology. During these years, Sharon met her life-long best friends Marie Pringle and Deborah Rowan, the three of them often referred to as the Malachi sisters.

In 1977, Sharon met the love of her life, Mickey Finn, whom she would remain married to for 30 years. Their life together was filled with laughter, happiness, boats and parties.

Sharon has worked as the Development Officer for Anne Arundel County Public Schools for the last four years. Prior to that she worked as the Assoc Dir. of Institute Development for Anne Arundel Community College and as an event planner for the YWCA of Arnold, Md.

Sharon is survived by her husband Michael John Finn Jr.; her three children, Michael John Finn III of Annapolis , Patrick Sean Finn of Arnold and Shannon Finn-Boniface of Rockville; her Mother Mildred Wolf of Westminster; her brother Walter Allen Wolf of Westminster; and her two grandchildren.

In honor of Sharon's fun loving spirit, it is the family's request that family and friends wear tropical themed attire to all services.
