Scott Robert Johnston, 54, a resident of Pasadena, died suddenly on March 18.

He was born on September 3, 1959 in Peoria Heights, IL, where he was raised, and graduated from Bradley University, and received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering.

Scott worked for over 30 years as an electrical engineer for the Department of Defense. He was a mentor for 7 years for the Chesapeake High School Robotics Team.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Shirley Johnston and his brother, Stephen Johnston.

He is survived by his wife, Teresita (Tess) Johnston of Pasadena; one daughter, Megan Nicole Johnston of Pasadena; one son, Stephen Michael Johnston of Pasadena; and one sister, Michelle Anderson of Peoria, IL.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Monday, March 24, 2014 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, in Severna Park, where a Memorial Service will begin at 7:00 pm Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
