Sarah Robinson

Sarah Epps Robinson, 96, of Severna Park, died of a massive stroke May 14 at House of Angels Assisted Living in Gambrills after a two-week illness.

Born Dec. 21, 1909, and reared in Anniston, Ala., Mrs. Robinson formerly lived in Birmingham,. Ala., and resided in the Baltimore and Severna Park area for more than 70 years.

She graduated from a secretarial school and became an office manager at the original Social Security Administration in Maryland.

Active in the community throughout her life, Mrs. Robinson was a member of Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church and enjoyed giving of her time and money to various facilities anonymously.

In 1939 she married Marvin H. Robinson who died Dec. 28, 1991.

Surviving are two nieces, Beatrice Haas Walton of Montgomery, Ala., and Sara Evelyn Haas of Phoenix, Ariz.; several great-nephews and great-nieces; and a great-great-nephew.

Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Woods Church, with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery in Birmingham.
