Sarah Metz

Sarah Beth Jones Metz, 27, of Hurlock of Dorchester County and formerly of Arnold, died unexpectedly Aug. 6 at her home. The cause of death is not available.

Mrs. Metz was born Jan. 25, 1979, in Panarama City, Calif., to Beth L. Jones of Odenton and Roger L. Jones of Thousand Oaks, Calif. She lived in Los Angeles until her move to Arnold in 1995. She graduated from Broadneck High School in 1997 and Anne Arundel Community College in 2000.

In 1997, she married Roger A. Metz of Hurlock. She worked at the Providence Center in human services and was an administrative assistant for the Absolute Fire Protection Co. in Severna Park.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by three sisters, Kathleen A. Barrett of Logan, Utah, Pamela M. McDonald of Glen Burnie and Amy L. Jones of Glen Burnie.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints, 1875 Ritchie Highway, Annapolis. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Brookly Park MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Society for the Prevention and Cruelty to Animals of Anne Arundel County, 1815 Bay Ridge Ave., Annapolis, Md. 21403.
