Sarah Booth Latham (Sally), of Severna Park, died on August 18, 2015 after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease.
Sally was born in Ferndale, July 24, 1920, and raised in Linthicum Heights, MD, the third of four children. She graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1937. On March 1, 1941, she married Jack Latham. During WWII, she moved around the country with Jack wherever he was stationed, spending most of the time at Ft. Bliss, TX.
In 1946, Sally and Jack returned to MD and celebrated the birth of a child, Pat. They moved to Linstead, in Severna Park, in 1949 and lived there until 2001 when they moved to Sunrise of Severna Park.
Sally was a true homemaker. She made many of Pat's clothes from infancy through young adulthood. She was a very good cook, well known in the family for her many varieties of beautiful and delicious Christmas cookies and for hosting family events. She created lovely intricate decorated goose eggs and enjoyed doing counted cross stitch, creating many beautiful pictures. She was an active member of Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church, devoting much time serving in unseen capacities.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Latham.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 24, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church, 611 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd., in Severna Park.
