Sarah Edna Blank, 101, of Charlestown Retirement Community in Catonsville, died Oct. 23 at Charlestown.
She was born April 6, 1908, in Baltimore, and raised in Anne Arundel County.
She was a past 35-year resident of Arnold. She was employed at Montgomery Ward on Monroe St. for eighteen and one half years in the drapery department.
She enjoyed gardening, sewing and craftwork. She was past president of the Magothy Manor Improvement Association and past president of the Senior Citizen Club of Severna Park.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Blank.
Survivors include her daughter, Catherine Wheeler of Arnold; two grandsons; and one great-grandson.
Family and friends are invited from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26 to Barranco and Sons P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27 at the funeral home. Interment in Glen Haven Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Benevolent Care Fund, Charlestown Retirement Community, 711 Maiden Choice Lane, Catonsville, MD 21228 or to Pasadena United Methodist Church, 6 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena, MD 21122.
