Sara C. Stelmach, 86, passed away peacefully Monday, August 25, 2014 at Genesis Severna Park HealthCare facility following a lengthy illness.

One of six children born to Claude Earl Clifford Sr and Margaret Tucker Clifford in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, Sara was born on January 12, 1928, where she lived until her late twenties. Following her marriage to James S. Stelmach in 1956, they moved to and resided in Baltimore, Maryland. Sara was a long-time member of the American Legion Post #187 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed being with family and friends and was a loyal fan of the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens.

Sara is survived by her loving grand-daughter Melissa B. Lippy and husband Josh, and the "sunshine of her life" great-grandson Kaden A. Lippy.Sara was preceded in death by her husband, James S. Stelmach and daughter Claudia S. Bentley, and siblings Mary C. Tracy, Claude E. Clifford Jr, James T. Clifford, Charles R. Clifford and John C. Clifford.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday September 4, 2014 from 4-7:00pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A Severna Park Funeral Home 495 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146. A funeral service will be held on Friday September 5, 2014 at 10:00am in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow immediately at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, MD.
