Santa M. Ragot (nee Colatriano), a resident of Severna Park, Md, since 1958, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 12, 2025 at Charlestown Retirement Community in Catonsville, Md. She was born on April 21,1928 in Phillipsburg, NJ. Beloved wife, for 69 years, of the late Robert L. Ragot, whom she married on February 12, 1955, and who preceded her in death on June 20, 2024. Loving mother of Marianne (Steven) Danko of Eldersburg, Md, and the late Robert Ragot, Jr. of Towson, MD; adored grandmother of Sarah Elizabeth (Brett) Boyer, Laura Marie Danko, the late Michael Steven Danko, Anne Marie (Andrew) Holmes and Robert Louis Ragot, III; and cherished great-grandmother of Jace Michael Boyer. Santa was the devoted daughter of the late Costantino and Mary (nee DeLorenzo) Colatriano; devoted step-daughter of the late Louise (nee Calise) Colatriano; sister to Rosalie (the late Frank) Romeo, the late Carmella (the late Anthony) Bartolotta, the late Costantino (the late Ann) Colatriano, Jr, the late Joseph Colatriano.

Santa grew up in Phillipsburg, NJ and graduated with honors from Phillipsburg High School. After graduation, Santa worked as a lab tech at Baker Chemical, before marrying and becoming a devoted wife and mother. Santa and her husband Robert were founding members of St. John's the Evangelist Church when it was established on Baltimore/Annapolis Blvd in 1959 and were active members for 60 years before moving to Charlestown Retirement Community in 2019. Santa helped start and was a teacher for the church's Sunday School program offered to church members whose children attended public schools. In 1980, Santa became a member of the Secular Franciscan Order whose members, moved by the Holy Spirit commit themselves to live the Gospel after the manner of St. Franscis in their secular lives. She also volunteered weekly at the Franciscan Center in Baltimore for many years while raising her children. Santa was also a breast cancer survivor of 43 years and volunteered her time in many fundraisers for Breast Cancer.

Santa's hobbies included gardening, needlepoint, crocheting, but especially loved knitting wedding afghans, and hats, scarves and mittens for her grandchildren.

Family and friends may visit on Wednesday May 28, 2025 from 9:30am-11:00am at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care,P.A. 495 Ritchie Hwy Severna Park, MD 21146. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated following the viewing at 11:30am at St John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church 689 Ritchie hwy Severna Park, MD 21146. Private interment at MD Veterans Cemetery.
