Sandra Lynn Zinck

August 5, 1965 – February 12, 2024

Sandy Zinck, 58, passed away peacefully at her home in Pasadena, MD after a nearly two-year battle with pancreatic cancer. At her time of death, she was surrounded by her family. Sandy was devoted to serving her friends and family and remained steadfast in her Christian faith, even in her most challenging moments.

Born August 5, 1965 to Janis Marler (deceased) and Vincent Carricato (deceased), Sandy grew up in Pittsburgh, PA with her parents and sister (Shelly). Sandy would often share her fond childhood memories, many of which included spending time with her extended family.

In marriage, Sandy found her true companion and the love of her life, Bruce Zinck. They were married on August 2, 1986. Together, they built a solid foundation, enrooted in their shared love for Jesus Christ. Their love was a testament to the power of God's grace, and they stood as a shining example of what a Christ-centered marriage should be. Their love, endless devotion to each other, and their faith carried them through the joys and challenges of life.

As a mother and grandmother, Sandy routinely showered her children and grandchildren with her love, wisdom, and faith. This has left a lasting mark on their lives. Through her wisdom, gentle support, and compassionate care, she equipped them with the definition of strength and courage to face life's trials. She dedicated her life to providing a warm and loving home where faith, integrity, and kindness were interwoven into the fabric of daily life. Her children, Garrett and Victoria, will continue to carry on her remarkable legacy. In the past five years of her life, her grandchildren - Lochlan and Wrenley, were the joy and light of her life. They gave her the strength she required to persevere through her own pain. Sandy was their best friend, biggest cheerleader, and their best Gigi.

As a friend to everyone, she possessed an uncanny ability to inspire and uplift those around her, offering a listening ear, sage advice, a perfectly timed sense of humor, and a gentle heart. We will remember her beautiful smile, and her infectious laughter that was full of happiness and joy.

While we mourn the loss of Sandy, we find immense solace and peace knowing that she is now resting in the arms of her Savior. She is walking, dancing, singing, hugging, and loving on those who went before her. We celebrate the legacy of love, faith, strength, and kindness she left behind and we honor her by spreading the good news of Jesus Christ.

Sandy is survived by her loving husband (Bruce Zinck) and her children (Garrett Zinck and Victoria Zinck). Garrett is married to Melissa Zinck and they have two children (Lochlan Zinck and Wrenley Zinck). Victoria is engaged to Mickal Mills and have two step-children (Shasheen Mills and Roneil Mills). Sandy is also survived by her step-father (Larry Marler), her two sisters (Shelly Kirk and Jennifer Maher) and brother-in-law's (Victor Kirk and Alan Maher), in addition to extended family members.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on February 19, 2024 at Barranco Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A. (495 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146) from 3pm-5pm and 7pm-9pm. A Celebration of Life service will be held on February 20, 2024 at Heritage Community Church (8146 Quarterfield Rd, Severn, MD 21144) at 10am.
