Samuel Cerrato, Jr., of Finksburg, passed away on April 26, 2021 at the University of Maryland Medical Center from acute Myeloid Leukemia. He was diagnosed 7 months ago. Sam loved life and fought the disease with everything that he had.

He was born on May 14, 1961 to Samuel and Ella Cerrato in Cranford, New Jersey, where he was raised. He received his high school diploma at Cranford High School, then attended the University of Maryland, where he earned his Bachelor's in Management. Samuel worked as an IT Specialist, most recently for Northrop Grumman and the Social Security Administration. He could do anything that he set his mind to and was a very good handyman. Sam loved to sing and never met a microphone he didn't like. He had been the lead vocalist in many bands over the years. He also loved movies and had a collection of over 1,000 DVDs.

Sam is survived by his loving fiancé, Beth Blank and her son Samuel. He is also survived by his son Jared Cerrato and his family in Australia.

Samuel was privately buried at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at https://donate.lls.org/lls/donate
