Sally Ann Kohrn, age 84, a longtime resident of Severna Park, MD passed away on Monday, October 22, 2018. Born April 23, 1934 in Washington, D.C., she was the third of five children of the late Haseltine French Ham.
Sally attended school, lived and worked in the Washington, D.C. area for much of her early life. In her professional career, she was one of the first women ever to attain the position of store manager at Kay Jewelers in the early 1960's. She enjoyed a long successful corporate career, before moving to Severna Park, MD in 1972 and starting a business with her late husband, Edward. In retirement, Sally worked with her son as a part-time bookkeeper for his business. Sally often expressed that her happiest moments were when she was surrounded by a house full of family & friends for holidays or special occasions.
Mrs. Kohrn was preceded in death by her loving husband of 38 years, Edward Kohrn, son Eric E. Beers, brother Richard L. Oden and sisters June C. Zimmermann and Patricia Jordan. She is survived by her son Scott Beers, daughter Pamela Gaydos, stepsons Stefan Kohrn and Dr. Bruce Kohrn, sister Marie Jenkins, 10 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 5th at 11AM at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy., 21146. Flowers are welcome, the family requests that any memorial contribution be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
