Sadie Lee Ewell, 87, of Severna Park, died of natural causes Feb. 11 at the Severna Park Center, Genesis ElderCare Network.
Mrs. Ewell was born April 26, 1917, graduated from Forest Park High School in Baltimore and attended Johns Hopkins University.
She moved to Rugby Hall in the 1950s and the Round Bay area of Severna Park in 1965. In 1997, she moved to Sunrise Assisted Living in Severna Park before moving to the nursing facility.
She and her husband, the late William L. Ewell, were founding members of St. Martin's-in-the-Field Episcopal Church in Severna Park where she was a member of the choir, the Altar Guild and the Shepherd Group.
She also volunteered with Meals on Wheels.
Surviving are one daughter, Christine Ewell Moore of Severna Park; one son, William L. Ewell Jr. of Sarasota, Fla.; and one grandson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Martin's-in-the-Field Episcopal Church, 375 Benfield Road, Severna Park. Burial will be private. Arrangements are by Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home.
