Ruth Carrie Riddle (née Schultz), age 71, passed away peacefully at home in her sleep on June 22, 2025, in Glen Burnie, Maryland. Born on April 17, 1954, in Pasadena, Maryland, Ruth lived a life rooted in love for her family and community.

Ruth was a devoted homemaker who also worked as a cashier at Box N Save. Her warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on those she encountered both at work and in her personal life. Known for her generous spirit and welcoming nature, Ruth created a home that was always open to friends and family.

She had a special talent for bringing people together. Ruth loved hosting Christmas and New Year's parties, filling her home with laughter, good food, and cherished memories. She also enjoyed doing manicures for friends in her home—a small but meaningful way she shared her care and creativity with others.

Ruth is survived by her beloved husband, Robert "Bob" Riddle, Sr., with whom she shared 51 years of companionship and love. She was a proud mother to Robert "Rob" Riddle, Jr. and his wife Stacie; a devoted "Nanny" to Corey Riddle and Matthew Davies; and a loving great-grandmother to Harrison Riddle.

She is also remembered fondly by her sisters Margaret (Ron) Sisk and Rosemary (Bill) Putnam; sisters-in-law Patsy Workman and Donna Carr; brother-in-law Jimmy Riddle; nieces Tammy, Amy (Srinivasa), Diane, Pearl, Ellen, Jen, Tiffany, Paula, Lisa, Rhonda, Lea, Tracy, Tabby; nephews Butch, Bobby, Duane, Donald, David; and many extended family members.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents Ruth and Joseph Schultz; sisters Mary, Carrie, and April; brothers Joseph A., Joseph C., and Rusty; and her niece Joann.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt—and a great friend—Ruth touched the lives of many with her generosity and joyful spirit. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.

Family and friends may visit on Sunday June 29, 2025 from 2:00pm-4:00pm & 6:00pm-8:00pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A. 495 Ritchie hwy Severna Park, MD 21146. Services will be held on Monday June 30, 2025 at 12:00pm at Barranco Funeral Home.
