Ruth C. Merkle, 89, a resident of Millersville, passed away on January 7, 2015 at Glen Burnie Health & Rehabilitation Center in Glen Burnie.
She was born on March 15, 1925 in Connecticut, and has previously lived in Severna Park for many years.
Ruth enjoyed doll making and being a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George L. Merkle, Jr.
She is survived by her son, Donald Merkle (Carolyn) of Millersville; daughter, Linda Reed (Richard) of Annapolis; son, Richard Merkle (Ginger) of North Carolina; son, Robert Merkle (Melanie) of Virginia; sister, Teresa Albert of Westminster; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A Graveside service will be held on Monday, January 12, 2015 at 1:00 pm in Glen Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
