Ruth Kosman
Ruth Alma Kosman, 78, of Elkridge, died of cancer Dec. 19 at her home after a three month illness.
A homemaker, Mrs. Kosman was born Jan. 29, 1928, and reared in Pittsburgh, Pa., where she graduated from Langley High School. She previously lived in Columbia in Howard County as well as Aliquippa and Dormant, Pa.
Her husband, Adrian W. Kosman Sr., died Feb. 17, 1962. She was the daughter of the late Wilhelmina Dewalt and Frederick Hathaway.
Surviving are three sons, William and Frederick Kosman of Elkridge and Robert Kosman of Severna Park; one stepson, Adrian Kosman Jr. of Panama City, Fla.; two brothers, Ray Hathaway of Rochester, Pa., and Jim Hathaway of Pittsburgh; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Dec. 30 at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park in Rochester, followed by burial. Online condolences may be made at www.barrancofuneralhome.com.
