Ruth Anne Fielder, 81, a resident of Severna Park, passed away on February 27, 2021 at her home.

She was born on April 4, 1939 in Eastport in Annapolis, MD, where she was raised and graduated from Annapolis High School.

Ruth was a longtime preschool teacher at Pasadena Early Learning Center and a teacher at Severna Park Baptist Church Preschool.

She enjoyed crafts and attending craft shows, especially Colorfest in Thurmont. MD. She also enjoyed gardening, jigsaw puzzles, watching game shows, taking walks, and vacations in Ocean City, MD.

Ruth was preceded in death by her late husband Roy Carl Fielder, Sr., whom she married in 1958.

She is survived by her son, Roy Carl Fielder, Jr. of Severna Park; her daughter, Cheryl Lynn Richardson of Pasadena; four grandchildren, Stacie Erin DeHaven, Roy Carl Fielder III, Zachary Hunter Richardson, and Stephanie Nicole Fielder; two great grandchildren, Quinn and Sophia; two brothers, Michael Rowe of Arnold and Kenneth Rowe of Seaford, MD; and sister, Nancy Kirby of Arnold, MD.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday, March 4, 2021 from 5-8 pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A., 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park. A funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11:30 AM. Interment will be private at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
