Ruth Agnes Crowe Suriano, 89, a resident of Millersville for over 15 years, died
May 16, 2008 at Family Home Care in Glen Burnie, due to complications of Alzheimer's after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Suriano was born November 15, 1918 in Chicago, Illinois, where she was raised.
She lived in various places as an Army spouse.
She graduated from Loyola University in Chicago and received a BA in Philosophy and a Master's Degree in Social Work from Catholic University in Washington D.C.
She was retired from Arlington County, Virginia as a Social Worker.
Mrs. Suriano enjoyed travelling, was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening and loved all the family dogs through the years. She would always work the political polls in her precinct.
Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Gronkiewicz of Millersville, MD, Margaret Trossen of McLean, VA, and Mary Moore of Arlington Heights, IL and six grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Fields in Millersville on Tuesday, May 27 at 5:00 PM. Interment will be private.
