Ruth Ann White Crisafulli, age 73, passed away on July 7th, 2015 at Anne Arundel Medical Center with family by her side.
Ruth Ann was born in upstate New York. She graduated from Dannemora High School as valedictorian and from SUNY Plattsburg with a degree in Mathematics and Education. She taught math for two years before moving to Annapolis, MD. She then had a rewarding forty-year career as a mathematician and programmer for the Electromagnetic Compatibility Analysis Center (ECAC) which became the Illinois Institute of Technology Research Institute (IITRI). Ruth Ann eventually became the CEO of IIT's branch in Rome, NY. She retired in 2002.
While building her career, Ruth Ann also married Richard Crisafulli and started a family leading to a beloved daughter and grand-daughter who became Ruth-Ann's greatest joys. Ruth Ann is survived by her daughter, Sharon; also by a son-in-law, Andy Hilder; a treasured grand-daughter, Allison; a sister, Helen Ladue; a brother in law, Ron Ladue; a niece, Betsy Richards and family; a nephew, Ed Ladue and family; and by ex-husband Richard. Ruth Ann is predeceased by her parents, Ruth and Charles White; a niece, Kathryn Richards; and by several aunts and uncles.
Ruth Ann was a long-time resident of Cape St. Clair and a member of Cape St. Clair United Methodist Church where her memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 11th at 2pm. Burial will be in Shelden Hill Cemetery, Ellenburg Depot, NY.
