Ruth Broome, 87, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 27, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Nash Broome of Milledgeville, Georgia and her daughter, Sandra Broome.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Glen Burnie, where she has enjoyed many close friendships and will be greatly missed. Her favorite moments were when she could be surrounded by her grandchildren, and in later years, her great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Richard N. Broome Jr. (Kay) and her daughter, Cathy Knowles (Patrick); her grandchildren, Rebecca Varney (Donny), Richard Craig Broome (Laura), Sarah Broome, Janet Broome, Jordan Knowles (Mollie), Mindy Knowles, Megan Knowles, and Zachariah Knowles; Great-grandchildren, Jaden, Brielle, and Adilynn Varney and Abigail Broome.

Friends may visit on Thursday May 30, 2013 from 4-7:00pm at the Barranco & Sons,P.A Severna Park Funeral Home 495 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146. Services will be held on Friday May 31, 2013 at 1:00pm in the Funeral Home chapel. Interment in Glen Haven memorial park cemetery.
