Russell Steven Powell
October 3, 1956 - May 15, 2012
Steve went to his heavenly home accompanied by all God's Angels and Saints on 5-15-2012. He leaves to carry on his beloved wife, Natalie, and darling daughter, Tiffany. Steves parents, Lorraine and Wilson Powell, his brother Duane and wife Amanda, and nephew Rae. His In-laws Dr. Vincent Benincasa and Shirlee, brother In-law J Greg Benincasa and Sister in-law Emilia, nephew Geoff Ferri Jr, Niece Antonia Simmons. Others listed on website.
Steven grew up in Camp Springs and Upper Marlboro, MD. He attended Crossland High School where he and Natalie began dating on February 14, 1975 graduating in 1976. He loved his and was well liked by numerous friends, teachers, business persons, from his active life in the auto business, joy of sports, love of fishing and tournaments and the mortgage business. Steven began at a young age working alongside his father in the family business Wilson Powell Lincoln Mercury of Marlow Heights, MD.
His mother provided the happy home life that nurtured and allowed Steve to grow, have independence, and learn and be confidant around people. He loved his father deeply and was enormously proud of him and to carry the traditions on for that love of people and helping them that he taught him as he watched his life unfold. He deeply loved and was proud of his brother Duane as he ventured and journeyed far and became greatly talented with a generous spirit.
Steve continued his life after the dealership days with his own exciting entrepreneurship endeavours in automobile sales businesses, mortgages, developing one of the lst TV auto sales show, and more with his
dedicated and loving wife by his side through each and every fearless step, challenge, and joy. The most
precious of all successes for Steve and Natalie is the pride and joy of their lives ~ sweet loving Tiffany!
Friends may visit on Wednesday May 23, 2012 from 2-4 & 6-8:00pm at the Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home 495 Ritchie Highway Severna Park, MD 21146. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday May 24, 2012 at 10:00am at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Highway Severna Park, MD 21146. Cremation to follow.
