Russell Joseph Miante, 37, of Annapolis passed away April 7, 2015. He was born on August 14, 1977 in Vallejo, California and adopted by Joseph Miante and Regina (Connor) Miante. Russ graduated from Broadneck Senior High School in 1996 and served in the US Marine Corps and later the Air National Guard. He was a cancer survivor as well as a music & theater enthusiast. Russ had a deep and abiding love of animals which led him to work in and volunteer for animal shelters including BARCS over the years.

He is survived by his parents; his brothers James (Vanessa) Miante, William (Darcy) Miante; his sister Rebecca (Brian) Truong; and nieces Makena & Kailani. Russell was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Russell & Mary Connor and his paternal grandparents Joseph & Frances Miante.

A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated on Friday April 17, 2015 at 11:00am in the St. Andrew by the Bay Catholic Church 701 College Pkwy. Annapolis, MD 21409.

Memorial donations can be made to Baltimore Animal Rescue & Care Shelter, Inc., (BARCS) or The American Cancer Society in honor of Russell Miante.
