Rosemary Hager, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on December 24, 2025. She was born on October 30, 1928 in Cumberland, Maryland. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School and was a long time parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Severna Park. She was a resident of Severna Park for over 50 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Amadeo and Frances (neé Palumbo) Basile; her husband Cornelius; her son Martin; and her sister Madeline Propst.

She is survived by her son, Douglas P. Hager(Sue); her grandchildren Vicente T. Hager, Charlotte Dowling (Michael), and Michael Gregg (Brenda); her great-grandchildren Ryan Gregg, and Christopher Dowling; her nieces Mary Louise Slonaker, Lorraine Sturtz (Robert), Brenda Erickson; and her nephews Mark Slonaker and William Cooper (Barbara).

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church on January 9, 2026 at 10:00am. She will be laid to rest with her husband and son at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Cumberland following the Mass.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent De Paul Society, St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church of Severna Park, or the charity of your choice.
