Rose Mary Wingo (nee Lascola),80, a resident of Arnold, MD, died on May 1, 2010 at Spa Creek Center in Annapolis, after a lengthy illness.

She was born March 31, 1930 in Baltimore, raised on Cottage Ave. in Highlandtown and lived in Lansdowne before moving to Arnold 48 years ago.

Mrs. Wingo worked as a secretary for insurance companies and was a homemaker.

She was a life member of the Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Department, where she served on the Board of Directors for numerous years. She loved being with her family and grandchildren and taking care of her husband, watching old movies and TV shows, especially cooking shows. She was an avid Ravens fan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis R. Wingo Sr, who died in 2007; her grandson, Joseph M. Peddicord, III; and her brother, Joseph Bellagio Lascola.

She is survived by her daughter, Tina Peddicord of Cape St. Claire; her son, Louis R. Wingo, Jr. of Westminster; and four grandchildren, Andrew Peddicord, Danielle Peddicord Van Meter, Hayley Wingo and Nicholas Wingo.

Family and friends may visit from 5-8 pm on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Gov. Ritchie Hwy, 21146. A Funeral Service will be at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in MD Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, MD.
