Ronald Paul Quigley, 71, of Annapolis, died at his home on May 7, 2012.
Ronald was born in Painted Post, New York on July 18, 1940. He graduated from Alfred University in Alfred, NY with a Bachelor's degree in History. He later joined the United States Air Force where he attained the rank of Captain. Mr. Quigley retired from the Office of Personnel Management after 40 years of service with the Federal Government.
Ronald was baptized as an infant at the First Presbyterian Church of Painted Post, NY and was a lifelong Presbyterian. He was the first member and first Stated Clerk of Christ Our Anchor Presbyterian Church in Cape St. Claire, where he was still active. He volunteered for Meals on Wheels and enjoyed reading, boating and woodworking.
Mr. Quigley is survived by his daughter, Erin Elizabeth Quigley of Glen Burnie, MD; his son, Sean Christopher Quigley of Wilmington, NC; and his brother, Richard Quigley of Painted Post, NY.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Friday, May 11, 2012 at 4pm at Christ Our Anchor Presbyterian Church, 1281 Green Holly Drive Annapolis, MD 21409. Interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Painted Post, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church or to the American Cancer Society, 1041 MD Rt. 3 N Gambrills, MD 21054.
