Robert (Bob) White of Arnold, MD passed away at home, with his family by his side, on Friday, April 3, 2026, at age 87.

Bob was born on April 21, 1938, in Rochester, NY, son of the late Alice and Gardner White, Sr. Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Dolores (Dolly) of Arnold, MD, and daughter Melissa of NYC, sister-in-law Anita White of Springwater, NY, sister-in-law Nora, Barbara, many nieces and nephews, and good friends. He was predeceased by brothers Gardner, Jr., Richard (Dick), and Earl, brother-in-law Manuel, and 3 nephews.

Bob graduated from Rush Henrietta High School in Henrietta, NY. He enlisted in the Air Force and later earned his Bachelor of Science degree at Rochester Institute of Technology. He worked as an engineer. Bob loved music and sang in his church choir throughout his life, as well as in the Annapolis Chorale for about 25 years. He was known for his kindness, calm and gentle demeanor, and ability to fix almost anything.

A celebration of Bob’s life will take place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Gloria Dei! Lutheran Church in Arnold, MD at 11:00 am. Contributions in Bob’s name may be made to Lutheran World Relief or the American Cancer Society.
