Robert Kennon "Bob" Wells, Jr. of Severna Park, MD passed away unexpectedly on Sunday November 27, 2011 playing the game he loved with the girl he loved.

Born in Danville, VA on March 11, 1951, Bob was the beloved son of the late Robert Sr. and Fay Wells. He graduated from Hampden-Sydney College in 1973 and began his career with Ferguson Enterprises where he excelled for more than 38 years. On August 4th of that same year, Bob married his best friend and college sweetheart, JoAnn Schulz.
While with Ferguson Enterprises, Bob was one of the most dedicated and loyal employees the company ever had. He was a top salesman and a member of the Presidents Club for many years. He was a mentor to many and most recently held the position of Vice President of Sales for one of the company's largest branches in Beltsville, MD.

Bob was a very passionate man. Among many things, he enjoyed attending Maryland Basketball games and cheering on Notre Dame Football. Bob was an active member of his community. He spent countless hours relaxing at the Hatton Memorial Beach where his boys would take out the Whaler and his wife would beg him to take out their sailboat, the "Rigadoon." Bob enjoyed many social events with his neighbors at the beach, especially hosting the annual OSPIA Crabfeast.
As a sincerely honest man, Bob loved the game of golf the most because it was a game of integrity. He was a familiar face to all on the greens at Chartwell Country Club for the last 15 years. Bob will be fondly remembered by his regular foursome and the rest of the Chartwell family.

Above all, Bob loved to be with his family. He was a loving husband, proud father, beloved brother, and cherished uncle. He took great pride in watching his three boys grow. He loved being a part of their lacrosse programs, rarely missing a game from little league through college. He felt very fortunate to have witnessed what fine young men they have grown to be. Over the past two years, Bob was blessed to have been a part of the marriages of all three of his boys to wonderful girls, the daughters JoAnn always wanted.
Bob is survived by his best friend and love of his life, JoAnn S. Wells; three sons, Michael (Erene), Travis (Heather), and Garrett (Anna) Wells; siblings, Linda Hopkins, John David Wells, and Jill Nunnally; several cousins, nieces, nephews, and scores of friends.

Additional
Remembrances can be made in Bob's honor to The Discovery School of Virginia, a non-profit educational organization led by one of Bob's best friends from Hampden-Sydney, Chris Yates.
