Robert Henry Warner, born January 13, 1924, in Millersville, Pennsylvania, died Saturday evening following a long illness. Mr. Warner was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Marion Warner, his brother Richard, his son William "Rusty" Hilburn and, his beloved wife of more than 50 years, Ethel O'Neal Warner.
He is survived by his brother Frank Warner, his daughters, Lois George and her husband Carroll "Bunky" George, Sherry Schmansky and her husband Stephen, and Terri Lins and her husband William. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Mr. Warner was a retired Boatswain's Mate First Class, serving 20 years in the United States Navy, followed by a second retirement from the Federal Government where he worked as a pipe fitter at the Naval Academy, and finally a third retirement from his partnership in the Warner-Marshall Tile Company where he specialized in ceramic tile craftsmanship.
He enjoyed Johnny Cash music, John Wayne movies, swimming/diving, fishing, card games, stamp and coin collecting, gardening, traveling, and especially time with his large, extended family.
Family and friends may visit at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, in Severna Park, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Tuesday, September 9, 2014. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Annapolis.
