IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert George
Towers
December 8, 1935 – July 13, 2024
Robert George Towers, of Annapolis, passed away peacefully on July 13th, surrounded by family.
Having grown up in Baltimore, he was a gifted student, graduating from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute in 1953. He attended Lebanon Valley College before enlisting in the Army. Upon his return, he attended the University of Maryland and graduated with a BA in economics, which led him to a career as a partner at Hess and Lim, as a public utility consultant. After many years, he left to form Chesapeake Regulatory Consultants, and subsequently conducted business in many states.
Robert was predeceased by his wife, Sieghild, of 34 years just two years ago. The two of them traveled extensively and both loved gardening. Robert was an avid fan of historic European cars, having restored Bentleys and an Austin Healey. He was also the dedicated family historian for his extensive family.
He leaves behind his three children Scott, Burkett, and Elizabeth, his wife's children Heike and Davin (daughter Ella), as well as six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Robert was an intelligent kind soul who never met a stranger. He will be missed by many.
A celebration of life event will be planned at a later time.
