Robert Wiilliam Stummeier, age 82, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Anne Arundel Medical Center, Annapolis, Maryland comforted by his wife Diane Stummeier at his side. He grew up loving his Crystal Lake, Illinois neighborhood, working and tinkering on cars, and enjoying the many friendships he accrued throughout his years living in Crystal Lake.

Bob proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam war-era and continued to serve his country in working for the federal government for an additional 30+ years until his retirement. He was admired and respected by his co-workers and friends wherever he went. His greatest joys were spending time with his family, supporting the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsbugh Steelers in sports, looking over and sailing the waters of the Chesapeake Bay, and spreading laughter and memories with his friends. Bob is survived by his beloved wife Diane Stummeier and son Matthew Stummeier. He is with God and his beloved son Christian Stummeier, mother Lorraine A. Stummeier (nee Voss), father William Christian Stummeier, aunt Elda D. Kreglow (nee Voss), and uncle Frederick E. Kreglow.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on 16 June 2023 at 1:00PM at St. Andrew by the Bay Catholic Church 701 College Pkwy Annapolis, MD 21409. In honor of Bob and in lieu of flowers, consider a contribution to the Alzheimer's Association.
