Robert Franklin Robinson, 84, a resident of Severna Park, died on July 7, 2008 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center, due to kidney failure.
Mr. Robinson was born November 27, 1923 in Nelsonville, Ohio, where he was raised, and had lived in the Round Bay area in Severna Park, MD for the past 31 years.
He attended Denison University and the Ohio State University. He worked in the Food Processing Industry as a plant manager.
He served in the US Army in the European Theater. Mr. Robinson was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He loved watching the Ohio State University Sports, traveling, reading, and being with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Robinson (nee Zirkle), whom he married July 10, 1949; two sons, George R. Robinson II MD and wife, Diane of York, PA and Gregory P. Robinson Esq. and wife Teresa of Severna Park, MD; grandson, Robert F. Robinson II of York, PA; two granddaughters, Madeleine and Julia Robinson of Severna Park, MD; one brother, Richard R. Robinson of Minerva, Ohio; and one sister-in-law, Virginia I. Zirkle of Ottawa, Ohio.
A Memorial Service will be held at Woods Presbyterian Church, 611 B & A Blvd in Severna Park, MD on Friday, July 25 at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, MD at 2:30 pm. Arrangements are made by Barranco& Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home.
